Ever since the Championship Manager franchise split with the original developer, the Collyer brother in 2004, you could say sales and response to the recent CM game has been lukewarm and under-performing. It could be better.
Even most of my friends here have converted to Football Manager
They’re still puzzled at my showing of loyalty sticking with Championship Manager. As you all know Sports Interactive split with then Championship Manager publisher Eidos and signed up with Sega. Sports Interactive kept the code while Eidios keeps the franchise name.
Beautiful Game Studios then took over the helm of making Championship Manager from scratch, as without the code, CM is just an interface. Well I might add, despite the critics, they did considerably well when CM5 came out, with that short time span to develop it
And with each version of Championship Manager, it gets better and better with each feedback given to the developer to iron out the bugs or implementing a new feature. So don’t just complain, feedback Beautiful Game Studios.
Like they said ‘Rome wasn’t built in a day’
I don’t think CM has any future. It will take a big programming leap. Improve the interface please
I’m sure BGS are looking into it
