Description: Worldwide updated as of September 2001.

What’s Changed?

* Usually perfected English leagues (inc. Conference).

* Improved English staff appointments which were neglected before.
– Added new staff into the CM database: scouts, coaches, directors e.t.c

* Updated until Wednesday September 28th 2001 – all world transfers.

* Released more players from their clubs.

* Improved weather file (from DEMO of CM01/02)

* Removed loans and injuries from the player setup file.

* Loaned players from around world in place for start of new season.

* Spanish / Dutch and German Transfers/Loans/Injures Perfected.

* Update contains teams in correct divisions for next season (ALL EUROPE).

* UEFA Cup, Intetoto and Champions League places given (ALL EUROPE).

* Loans up to date. Expired loans changed.

* Hundreds of players stats accurately changed.

* Retirements (65 in total – Gough, Serrant, Collymore, Hunt e.t.c.)

* Aaron Flahavan, Stanniford, Seally and more removed from the game.

* Huge amount of kit changes for next season (Man Utd’s Centenary Kit).
– Arsenal’s Silver & Gold
– Leeds’ Blue and Yellow
– Villas, Chelsea’s and Saints

* Russians/Ukrainians now part of EU – Work Permits not needed.

* Deleted ARSE command – was causing problems.

* One or two more stadium names changed.

* New injuries updated and old injuries deleted from file.

* More Stadium capacities changed and tweaked to the nearest seat.

* Every club’s reputation altered as near to real life.

* Deleted some doubles within the game as requested on thedugout msg board.

* Perfected some young player stats e.g. Dave Prutton.

* Some birthdates changed (i.e Dario Gradi – Crewe)

* Some first names, second names and common names fixed (ie. Thome and Nunez)
– Steven Carr to Steve Carr; Tony Gardner to Anthony Gardner e.t.c.

* Loaned players from France to England now appear.

* Pundit File Includes Media from ALL over the world (September 24th Version)

* More players have been removed from the game.

* Some staff added (ie. Dave Jones, Eric Cantona, Stuart Gray)

* Staff Roles changed (i.e Platt no longer plays football, Boyd – player/non player.)

* Fixed A few more transfer errors, bugs and potential game crashes.

Installation

YOU MUST HAVE A VERSION OF WINZIP! – DOWNLOAD IT FROM www.winzip.com

* To install the update, simply extract the files in this .zip to the data directory in your CM 00/01 directory.

* Procedure: Open up the zip file highlight ALL the files within the zip then click extract. Where it says “extract to” paste the following: C:\Program Files\Championship Manager 00-01\Data – then click yes to all.

* NOTE: If you wish to keep your original database, you must BACKUP your original files! – copy them into a new folder.

* When asked to overwrite existing files, click “ok”.

* YOU WILL NEED TO START A NEW GAME TO SEE THE CHANGES! DO NOT ! – START A QUICK START GAME OTHERWISE YOU MAY ENCOUNTER DATA DIFFICULTIES AND YOU MAY NEED TO RE-INSTALL THE GAME!

All my updates so far this season have been a huge sucess, however it may not have been possible without the aid of my scouts, personal testers and program providers who have helped me with many aspects of the update. My update may just be edited by myself however lots of thanks has to be given to the people below who have done a marvelous job assisting me. I hope to add to the number of scouts next season in order to improve the playability of the game. I realise different leagues need to be focused on to do this!
